The Last Believer
Produced by Moving Parts Arts
Written by Danielle Slade, Directed by Jonluke McKie, Music by Ruth Lyon
Mae has always loved the folklore tales of Tyneside past, told to her as bedtime stories by her Gran. But when Mae unearths the infamous Hexham Heads, she is thrown into Greckohog, the magical kingdom that lies beneath Northumberland's hills, on a quest to save Tyneside. Will she succeed in hiding the Hexham Heads? Can she outrun the mysterious Wolfman who lurks in the shadows? And, when it's all over, will she find her way back home?
Told on a unique two-metre high moving panorama called a 'Crankie' with 30-metres of hand-painted illustrations, the last believer has live original music, large-scale puppetry and storytelling - a bold, colourful and fun adventure story for the whole family.
