AUTUMN 2021 TERM

The Moving Parts Puppet School is a space for North East of England people to create, play, explore, express and imagine. It is a place for discovering puppetry and for building a community for the art form in the region.

The Puppet School has been created specifically for North East people and it aims to spark creativity in kids, teens and adults alike through accessible and affordable courses.

The Moving Parts Puppet School debuted in Spring 2021 by delivering two online courses for kids (7-11) and teens (12-16), made possible through funding from the Community Foundation / Newcastle Cultural Investment Fund. We are now returning for Autumn 2021 with not two but FOUR courses for kids, teens and adults in partnership with Life and Limb Puppets, made possible through funding from Arts Council England and the Community Foundation / Wide Open Road Fund.

Autumn Term 2021 booking is now closed.

We have three courses available as part of the Autumn Term 2021 programme taking place between Sept - Dec. Click the green buttons to find out more about each course.

All four courses can be attended either in person at the Carnegie Building in Newcastle or accessed online via Zoom. You can even do a bit of both! The Carnegie Building is accessible for wheelchair users.

All courses are open to anyone living in the North East of England.

All four course tickets include a pop-up box theatre and puppet making materials packs FREE of charge.
