baba yaga's bird house
Designed and created by Judith Hope Puppet Maker
Produced by Moving Parts Arts
A spooky, rickety house wanders the streets on its spindly bird legs - guided by a glowing lantern that hangs from its rafters. But what is in that mysterious tiny door? Knock three times... The Queen of the Magpies lives inside the house, and she doesn't like being woken up! A playful, interactive roaming act for all ages - perfect for Halloween or any spooky event!
Originally made for City of Kittiwakes Parade project, which was supported by National Lottery Heritage Fund, Newcastle Cultural Investment Fund, People's Postcode Lottery, The National Lottery Community Fund 'Awards for All' and The Barbour Foundation.
“the house added so much to our event - beautifully made and it scared both the kids and adults (in a good way!)”
– Event booker, 2024
